about

This is Nathan Brannon's debut album; recorded independently, in 2013 at the Funhouse Lounge in Portland, Oregon.

What does "I Black Out" mean?
You could say it just refers to drinking to much, OR you can dig deeper to find the true meaning Nathan's album. When you "Black Out" you don't remember anything that is said to you during that period later on. Nathan decided to take that description and use it as a metaphor for staying true to yourself.
Early on in Nathan's career he was told, by just about everyone, that trying to make a living with nothing but his passion was the most foolish thing he could have done. He soon realized that the only way for him to make his dreams reality was to first shut out the opposition coming at him from all sides. From then on, when someone told him something wasn't possible, he would respectfully take there criticism, and return to his work, as if nothing had been said at all.
It is for this reason, that Nathan named his album "I Black Out". It's not about one too many drinks; it's about believing in your self, even if you are the only one.
